Marissa Guggiana La Brecque is the co-founder of The Butcher's Guild, a national organization to promote and preserve butchery. She has authored two cookbooks: Primal Cuts: Cooking With America's Best Butchers (Welcome Books, 2010) and Off The Menu: Staff Meals from America's Top Restaurants (Welcome Books, 2011). She is a fifth generation Santa Rosan.
