While other 10-year-olds were setting up lemonade stands, Elizabeth Howes was selling handcrafted gourmet chocolates and freshly-picked berries from her backyard. Raised in a family full of inspired cooks and culinary entrepreneurs, good food was the focal point from an early age. After years of study in various culinary styles, Elizabeth’s focus came full circle when she moved to San Francisco in 1999. As a chef, freelance food writer and photographer, she loves to create seasonal, style-driven recipes and photos. She has appeared on the Food Network, has been featured in the James Beard Foundation’s JBF Notes, and is a regular contributor to the innovative recipe search site, Gojee.com. Her work has been published on Shape.com, SFGate.com, and SlowFood-Marin.com among others. She lives in Marin with her husband and they are elatedly expecting their first child in the spring.
