Slide Ranch Full Moon Evening: Sturgeon Moon + Partial Lunar Eclipse
Thursday, August 27, 2026. 5:30pm – 9:30pm at the Farm to Table Teaching Center
Full moon dinners at Slide are an interwoven celebration of the stars, moon, and wonder of the night sky, plus of earth, garden, and what grows from the soil. These dinners bring us through the seasons, for moments of gathering in the fullness of the last weeks of summer, to a cozier, darker evening ushering us into fall. After dinner, engage with expert astronomers and astrologers as they share celestial wisdom, and join a guided night walk along our coastal trails, soaking in the moonlit or fog shrouded beauty of the Pacific.
For the Sturgeon Moon and Partial Lunar Eclipse on August 27th, partnering chef Lily Chait will craft a seasonal dinner with the summer harvest, featuring local producers and the ranch. Chef Lily, hailing from Chez Panisse, has built her life around the art of feeding and nourishing people.
After dinner, we will be joined by star experts, astronomers and astrologers, and break off into groups to learn about the universe, our world and ourselves.
