La Puesta Del Sol

Charlie Sandy, the brand and tasting room manager at Grove 45 at Museion, eschews the idea that he’s a bona fide mixologist, but offered up this favorite recipe using Vermuse Sweet Vermouth.
Course Drinks

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ounces grapefruit juice (unsweetened)
  • 2 ounces thyme syrup (recipe follows)
  • 1 ounce VERMUSE Sweet Vermouth
  • Prosecco or sparkling water
  • Grapefruit slice and thyme sprig for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Combine the grapefruit juice, thyme syrup and vermuse in a large wine glass filled with ice. Stir to combine. Top with prosecco or sparkling water. Garnish with a grapefruit slice and a sprig of fresh thyme.

THYME SYRUP

  • Combine 4 sprigs fresh thyme with ½ cup simple syrup in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool. Remove the thyme. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
