Slide Ranch, Muir Beach: Perched on the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Slide Ranch, a nonprofit organization whose goal is to connect children to nature, offers two summer camp programs that are specifically geared to engage the future farmer and environmental steward.

In Junior Farmer Camp, designed for ages 8–13, campers gain in-depth experience by participating in daily ranch life that includes organic gardening and animal care, and working on Slide Ranch’s ongoing land stewardship projects.

In Teen Camp, older campers spend the week farming and working with the animals, taking part in conservation work, and also participating in food and wellness workshops. SlideRanch.org
